4. Session bookings — terms and conditions

4.1 Parental responsibility

The parent or carer who completes a session booking form confirms they hold parental responsibility for the child named in the form. The parent or carer agrees to remain on TISNECH premises for the full duration of every session. The parent or carer remains legally responsible for their child's welfare, safety, and behaviour throughout the session at all times.

4.2 Role of TISNECH staff

TISNECH staff and volunteers will provide warm, attentive, and supportive engagement with children during sessions. They are not acting in loco parentis. They are not medically trained professionals. They cannot administer medication of any kind.

4.3 Medical needs and medication

Parents and carers are responsible for administering any medication their child requires during a session. TISNECH staff will alert the parent or carer immediately if a child appears unwell or in medical need. In the event of a medical emergency, TISNECH staff will call 999 and alert the parent or carer without delay.

4.4 Accuracy of information

Parents and carers agree that all information provided in the session booking form is accurate and complete to the best of their knowledge. TISNECH accepts no liability for harm arising from information that has been withheld, omitted, or inaccurately provided by a parent or carer.

4.5 Cancellation and changes

We ask for a minimum of 48 hours' notice for session cancellations wherever possible. This allows us to offer the space to another family. Cancellation terms specific to any paid sessions will be communicated at the point of booking.

4.6 Behaviour

TISNECH is a safe, inclusive, and sensory-friendly space. We ask all parents, carers, children, and young people attending to treat staff, volunteers, and other families with respect. TISNECH reserves the right to ask any individual to leave the premises if their behaviour poses a risk to the safety or wellbeing of others.

4.7 Photography by visitors

Parents and carers must not photograph or film other people's children during sessions. Photography of your own child is permitted in areas where no other children are identifiable in the image. Photographs or videos must not be shared publicly in any way that identifies another child at TISNECH without that child's parent or carer's explicit consent.

5. Intellectual property

TISNECH takes its safeguarding responsibilities extremely seriously. We operate in line with current UK statutory safeguarding guidance. All staff and volunteers with direct contact with children hold a valid enhanced DBS check. Our Designated Safeguarding Lead can be contacted via hello@tisnech.co.uk.

If we have reasonable cause to believe a child is at risk of harm, we are legally obligated to act in that child's best interests. This may include sharing information with statutory agencies without prior parental consent.
