Our Story

TISNECH was created by Brooklyn, an award-winning author and entrepreneur who is also a mum raising two neurodivergent boys. Her sons are autistic, have ADHD, and one has ARFID – complex needs that require understanding, patience, and specialist support.

What Sets Us Apart

All About Us

For years, Brooklyn searched for safe spaces where her children could just be themselves. She needed sensory-friendly environments, professional support, a community that got it, and services that actually understood what her family was navigating. Instead, she found long waiting lists. Limited help. Services that didn't fit her children's needs. And an overwhelming sense of being alone in a system that wasn't built for families like hers.

She juggled her own health challenges while advocating tirelessly for her boys. She learned to decode her children's communication styles, understand their sensory needs, support their emotional wellbeing. She fought for them at school, at appointments, in moments when they felt overwhelmed. And through it all, she felt unseen. Her exhaustion wasn't acknowledged. Her expertise about her own children wasn't always valued. And her desperation to find better wasn't unique – she realised thousands of families felt exactly the same.

So she decided to change it.

TISNECH was born from lived experience. It was built by a parent who knows this journey intimately – not in theory, but in the daily reality of raising neurodivergent children. Brooklyn created TISNECH because she never wanted another family to feel the isolation, the stress, or the sense that no one truly understands.

This hub exists because families deserve better. Because children deserve spaces where they can regulate, play, and develop at their own pace. Because parents deserve to feel seen, supported, and respected as the experts on their own children. Because waiting lists shouldn't mean desperation. Because services should meet families where they are, not ask families to fit into broken systems.

If you're a parent reading this feeling tired, overwhelmed, or unseen – we see you. We get it. And we're building this for you. If you're a funder, partner, or professional who believes families like ours deserve better – we'd love to build this with you. TISNECH is proof that change comes from listening to families, honouring their lived experience, and refusing to accept that isolation is inevitable.

"I built TISNECH for my boys. But really, I built it for every child who deserves to thrive, and every parent who deserves to feel understood." – Brooklyn

Our Vision for the Future

Phase 1: Sensory Hub

We're starting with sensory play sessions, respite care, creative activities, and community support. This is our foundation – a welcoming space where children can regulate, play, and develop at their own pace.

1

As we grow, we'll expand into part-time education provision. This will offer flexible learning opportunities for children who need alternative approaches to mainstream schooling, combining academic learning with therapeutic support.

Phase 2: Part-Time Education

2

Phase 3: Full School (Ages 5 to Post-16)

Our long-term vision is to establish a full school for ages 5 to post-16. This will be a place where neurodivergent learners receive education that truly fits them – combining academic excellence with sensory support, life skills, vocational training, and pathways to independence.
